much of it was really worn out
The 6mm CM brass was exceptionally clean and polished. Only when I started to resize and prime did I realize that some of the brass was Small Rifle Primer brass. Though I knew both types existed, I didn't even think to request only LRP (which I believed was the standard, at least in factory ammo). Anyway, the ratio turned out to be 55% LRP and 45% SRP. I guess that's OK since I have more Small Rifle Primers on hand than Large, but it also means that I will have 2 different loads to develop. Who knows, maybe I will find a better load with SRP anyway…
The brass was very clean/polished. Delivery was as fast as I could reasonably expect. The price was very competitive. There were slightly more than 2% over count, and the yield of good usable cases was > 99%. So, all in all, it was an excellent experience.
Description said mostly Hornady brass, but it was mostly Federal brass, about 40 percent Federal, 35 percent Hornady and the rest mixed. It probably varies by batch, but buyer beware if you're trying to get Hornady brass.
