Brass Processing

Want to take the “work” out of your brass processing?

You can send us your brass to process, saving you time and costly equipment!

Follow our step-by-step process to get your brass on its way to us:

  • Sort out the brass that you would like to have processed by caliber. There is no need to count your brass before sending it. (Any brass that arrives with mixed calibers or loaded ammunition will incur a $0.35/lb sorting fee)
  • We accept brass to be processed whether it is clean or dirty. Sending already cleaned brass saves time and increases turn around speed! There is no difference in price for sending clean brass.
  • We recommend using USPS flat rate boxes to ship your brass. Sender is responsible for shipping costs to and from Blue Ridge Brass LLC. Return shipping label cost will be added to final processing price and indicated on invoice. ***2021 UPDATE: Due to increased demand for processing services and USPS rate increases, we are no longer providing PDF or emailed labels to send us your brass. The price difference in what our shipping partner charges us and what you pay at the postal counter are minimal. Thank you for your understanding!***
  • Using a liner like a good trash bag or heavy plastic is preferred. Properly taping the entire box is a necessity as USPS is not easy on heavy packages. Writing “fragile” on your box is more likely to get it damaged then just leaving it blank. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages due to postal service error.
  • Click to download, print and complete the Brass Processing Form required to be included with your brass so we can process and return it to you as quickly as possible. Refusing to acknowledge parts of the processing form such as not putting your email or shipping address cause backlogs and increased wait times for invoices. Please include a copy of the completed form in each box (if sending multiple packages). Boxes may arrive separately (sometimes weeks apart) due to USPS backlogs. Filling out the date on your processing form helps us keep your batches together and ship back to you in the fewest boxes, saving you $ on shipping costs.
  • Ship all brass to 7466 Lee Hwy Troutville, VA 24175. Please email austin@blueridgebrass.com prior to sending brass so we know to expect your package and can verify that we are still processing your desired caliber. Due to the time-consuming nature of certain calibers and the volume of orders we are not currently processing .308 or 30-06. We hope to bring these calibers back in the future. Brass drop off customers in person by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Payment methods: Emailed invoice (that you can pay online using a card), Venmo, Google Wallet, Check or Money Order made out to Blue Ridge Brass LLC, and of course in-person cash! Emailed invoices incur a 3% processing fee of the total invoice cost (including shipping)

Current processing time is approximately 4-6 weeks depending on caliber, quantity, and condition of brass (THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IS AN ESTIMATE).We do our best to update everyone on the status of their brass but cannot spend valuable hours fielding calls and emails when we should be processing. Please understand the challenges of this industry right now and trust that we are working diligently to send your brass back ready for you to load! Certain calibers are running continuously on dedicated machines (.223/5.56 and 9mm) all others are run in batches based on demand and machine availability. Email austin@blueridgebrass.com for questions related to lead times and caliber availability.

Brass processing price is based per piece. Unusable brass will be discarded unless otherwise requested. You will only be charged for the number of pieces processed and returned to you + additional fees (sorting fee per lb for mixed brass, broken decapping pins due to berdan primed or loaded ammunition, etc- if applicable) +  return shipping fees.

**Volume discounts available to FFL customers with drum quantity only. Contact us for current wholesale pricing and to arrange freight**

No finished product will by shipped by Blue Ridge Brass LLC until paid in full.

ALL INVOICES MUST BE PAID WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ORIGINAL INVOICE UNLESS OTHERWISE STATE
